The May 15th forum will feature Zach Peterson.
The topic of the presentation will focus on current riverfront planning, design, and construction efforts currently being undertaken by the City to implement the River Vision Plan of 2004 and its 2014 update. Specific areas focus will include River Heritage Park, Veterans Memorial Park, and Main Street Landing.
Zach Peterson, PLA, ASLA is a Licensed Landscape Architect with the Public Works Department of the City of Davenport. Zach brings his cross disciplinary skill set in Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture in both the public and private sectors to solve complex design issues across departmental lines for the City. Zach has a passion for riverfront design and is helping shape the 9 nine miles of publicly held riverfront within the City.
Recently Zach received an American Society of Landscape Architects, Iowa Chapter Award of Merit as well as an Eddy Design Award for the Master Plan of River Heritage Park. Continuing this momentum, Zach continues to provide his design expertise toward the development of the future Main Street Landing segment of the Davenport Riverfront.
Zach holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University as well as a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver. Zach is a native of Davenport, Iowa having previously worked professionally in the Chicago and Denver metro areas.
