Our Mission: To improve the stewardship of Scott County watersheds through education, technical guidance, and volunteer opportunities.
Join us for our second Conservation Quarterly of 2023: Retain the Rain!
With stormwater runoff fees and increased concern about contamination of water supplies and flooding, it makes sense to seek ways to reduce rainfall runoff from residential lots through the use of native plantings and simple retention projects. This presentation outlines the River Action program “Retain the Rain,” which includes the most common retention projects to retain the water on your property, allowing it to soak into the ground instead of flow into storm sewers.
Join us on Tuesday, May 16th from 12-1pm for the second Conservation Quarterly of the year! This presentation will be held in person at the Eastern Avenue Library and livestreamed via Zoom.
