“Climate is Changing. Can We?” is a free event sponsored by Clean Air Muscatine, League of Women Voters of Muscatine County, and Muscatine Community College.

Following short presentations on what’s happening in Muscatine and surrounding communities in terms of energy use and sustainability, participants will strategize what we can do together to promote energy efficiency, wind and solar power, and initiatives to influence community priorities.

• Pam Joslyn, student project on recycling organics
• Angela Woodhouse, eat your veggies
• Kelsi Massengale (PSCW), water quality and watersheds
• Jim Larew, citizen action for a change
• Craig Mosher, energy districts and what they do
LOCAL CLIMATE ACTION PLANS:
• Advocacy for policies that set goals and measure improvement (city, county, schools)
• Forming a Muscatine County energy district
