Brinson Kinzer

Board Member

Brinson lives in Blue Grass in the Coal Creek-Mississippi River Watershed with his wife, Donna. He and Donna have one son and a beautiful granddaughter!

Brinson recently retired from electrical workers IBEW Local Union 145 as a Journeyman Electrician of 37 years at Davenport Electric Contract Company. At Davenport Electric Contract Company, he worked as a journeyman electrician, field foreman, Service Coordinator for 13 years, and was the full time Safety Director, serving both in that capacity since 2012. At the time of retirement, Brinson was both Service Coordinator and Safety Director.

Brinson also served the City of Blue Grass as a city council member for three consecutive four-year terms, starting in 1997. He then served the city of Blue Grass as the Mayor from 2009-2014. He also served on the Scott County Board of Supervisors from 2014-2022, where he advocated for first responders, mental health, and of course, healthy watersheds!
