Summer 2026 Conservation Quarterly ☀️

Join Partners of Scott County Watersheds and speaker Ray Wolf, a retired meteorologist from the National Weather to present Drought and its Impacts on the Midwest: Past and Future, over the lunch hour on August 18th, 12pm – 1pm to hear him discuss the affect recent drought periods have had in Iowa.

Attend in person at the Davenport Public Library – Eastern Ave. Branch – Room A. Our Conservation Quarterlies will no longer be available via zoom. Lunch is provided for in-person attendees with a $5 suggested donation.

Ray Wolf

Ray Wolf is a Scott County Master Conservationist and Master Gardner, the latter over 25 years having achieved Lifetime status. He retired from the National Weather Service where he served as the Science and Operations Officer in Davenport, IA. He received a B.S. degree in Meteorology and a M.S. degree in Agricultural Climatology, both from Iowa State University. Ray is a frequent speaker on variety of weather, climate, and garden topics including native plants, butterfly, and rain gardens, weather and climate effects on gardens, severe weather safety and climate change.
