Join Partners of Scott County Watersheds and speaker Ann Staudt, Conservation Outreach Specialist, Iowa Learning Farms and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, over the lunch hour on August 20th, 12m – 1pm to hear her share about both in-field and edge-of-field conservation practices and how they are crucial to supporting water quality and long-term sustainable agricultural production in Iowa. She will be breaking down the science of how wetlands, saturated buffers, and bioreactors—collectively referred to as edge-of-field practices—can uniquely benefit water quality, reduce nitrogen loads to streams, rivers, and lakes, enhance wildlife habitat, and add beauty to Iowa’s landscape.
Attend in person at the Davenport Public Library – Eastern Ave. Branch – Room B or tune in via Zoom. Lunch is provided for in-person attendees with a $5 suggested donation.
