PSCW 2024 Report
Join us on Tuesday, November 19th from 12-1pm for the Partners of Scott County Watersheds’ yearly summary. Listen over the lunch hour as the PSCW Executive Board shares the results of the 2024 Snapshot events, watershed health updates, review the year’s successes, and discuss plans and projects for the next year.
This presentation will be held in person at the Eastern Avenue Library and livestreamed via on-line.

About the Speakers
Mike Paustian
Mike is a 6th generation farmer from Walcott, where he and his family raise pigs, corn and soybeans. He received his Ph.D. in microbiology and worked as a research scientist before returning to the family farm.
Steve Gustafson
Steve is an environmental geologist with over 20 years of experience in the private and public sectors. He has worked on a wide variety of environmental projects, and has experience with a variety of surface water quality issues, including but not limited to fecal bacteria, sediments, excess nutrients, and chloride. His interest focuses on in-situ remediation methods for nutrients and fecal bacteria, as well as sedimentation in river backwaters as relating to overwintering fish habitat.
Amy Kay
Amy has been involved with storm-water management for 16 years and has served as the Clean Water Manager with the City of Davenport since 2016. Here, she directs the storm-water, resource conservation, watershed management and permit compliance programs. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of Illinois, Springfield’s College of Public Affairs and Administration in Environmental Management and Planning.
Liv Humphrey
Liv is the Watershed Coordinator for Partners of Scott County Watersheds. She joined PSCW in August of 2023. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Sustainability from San Diego State University. She has now worked at a few conservation non-profits, such as River Action and currently at Nahant Marsh. During college, she was a Sustainability Specialist Assistant at the Living Coast Discovery Center and the Horticulturist Intern for the City of San Diego. Through her experience, she has grown to love conservation, environmentalism, and all that encompass that.
