Join us on Saturday, February 12th from 8:30-11:30am for a special winter work day at the Crow Creek Wildlife Management Area in Mt. Joy, IA.
In 2020, PSCW adopted the Crow Creek Wildlife Management Area near Mt. Joy in partnership with the Iowa DNR. Since then, we have worked to clear out invasive species, overgrown brush, and trash, as well as improve wildlife habitat.
This upcoming work day will focus on habitat improvement and brush removal, as cedar trees will be removed from the shoreline, tied to cinderblocks, and brought out to the frozen pond. In the spring when the ice thaws, the trees will sink and become natural fish habitat!
Volunteers can sign up to help in this habitat construction project, as well as help remove small brush along the trails.
